My name is Chelsea and I am the new Site Coordinator for the Mary Walker School District. I have coached Springdale Middle School volleyball for the last 5 seasons and then began to sub within the district last year. It became apparent to me that there is a need for a position like this where we can advocate for the students and help set them up for overall success. At the time, I was unaware of Communities in School and what our organization does for this district. When the opportunity presented itself, I knew that it was something that I needed to be involved in. I am excited to take on this new role and become immersed within our little community and serve those who can benefit from our program. I am also alumni of Mary Walker so it has been rewarding to be back in the community that had a large role in shaping my childhood years.
I am a wife and mother to three kids so a lot of my time is dedicated to our family. We enjoy anything outdoors such as swimming, hiking, camping, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, horseback riding and sports. I have a love for gardening and working in my yard. We live on a small farm with several different kinds of animals so that keeps us busy. I also ran an in-home bakery for several years so there is usually some type of baking going on as well!
