I just love it every time you recognize a student for doing well and they suddenly light up because they realize that someone is aware of their success… someone is paying attention… someone cares about how well they are doing.

My goal at East Valley High School is to normalize success. I want students to know that they can and should be successful (whatever being successful looks like to the individual student) and that there is no difference between them and students who go to top universities or get top jobs… except that those top students believe that if they work hard, they deserve it.

So, my goal is to normalize the idea that if you work hard and are passionate about what you do, you can literally do anything that you put your mind to. It’s just up to you, your hard work, and your positive mentality. We all put our pants on one leg at a time. You can do it just like anyone else can. It’s just up to you.

In my free time, I enjoy watching independent/world cinema, taking long walks, reading, and riding trains.
