I have worked in Youth Development for over 30 years in several positions, in Day Camps, Resident Camps, Pre-Schools, 4-H Programs, Licensed Childcare, 21st Community Learning Centers, and most recently at Communities In Schools of Spokane County. The feeling I got as a CIS Site Coordinator, being able to give a student exactly what they needed so that they could be successful at school was almost as rewarding as anything I had ever done. And that is why I work for CIS.
I have a BS degree from Central Washington University in Leisure Services with a focus in Non-Profit Youth Serving programs. This degree gave me the opportunity to learn how to be a great youth programmer and the business side of how to work in non-profit agencies. I love training staff and have presented workshops at local, regional and national conferences.
When I am not at work my wife and I play in a few dart leagues. Not because we are good, but because it is fun.
