At Communities in Schools of Northeast Washington, our commitment to supporting students’ holistic well-being drives us to collaborate closely with both school and community-funded behavioral health professionals. Recognizing that negative behavior can significantly impede the learning process, our primary focus is on equipping students with the tools they need to navigate behavioral challenges and embrace positive decision-making.
We understand that insufficient availability of behavioral health staff can pose a barrier to providing comprehensive care for all students. Nonetheless, we remain dedicated to seeking sustainable, long-term solutions to address this gap. As part of our ongoing efforts, we’re actively exploring innovative avenues, such as the utilization of group sessions, to amplify the impact of the limited number of behavioral health providers available. Through these strategic initiatives, we strive to create an environment where every student can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically, fostering a brighter and more promising future for our community’s youth.
